Why Book a Paint Party?

Paint parties are a great way to bring people together for a celebration of creativity! Paint parties are a great way to celebrate birthdays, bachelorette parties, baby showers and more! It is worry free and Heather McDonough helps make hosting more enjoyable. Wow your friends and yourself with the creations that you make through Heather's step-by-step instruction. 

How Does it Work? 


For Parties less than 20: 
Contact Heather McDonough to book your preferred date. Once the date is booked, feel free to start inviting all of your guests. Heather will guide you  to choose from the paintings in the library or have her create a custom piece that matches the event theme. The location and time will be confirmed with Heather at the planning stages. 

For Parties more than 20: 
Same instructions apply, but a final participant number will need to be given at least 7 days prior to the event. 

The Day of the Event: 
Please have chairs and tables set up to accommodate the number of painters. Everything else will be taken care of for you to enjoy your party! Table cloths will be set, materials will be provided and clean up will be taken care of so you can enjoy your party!

Please review the information below to best prepare for your painting party! 

  • Heather will arrive 30 minutes previous to the scheduled instruction time.
  • Each painter will need about 2-3 ft of space.
  • Access to water is needed for the event.
  • If guests arrive late, Heather will give her painting-in-progress to them and quickly repaint to the point at which they arrived.
  • Each guest will receive an apron and personal easel for the event.
  • A group photo will be taken at the end of the painting session (optional).

Painting Pro-Tips: 
  • If you are painting on carpet, please put down protection. The paint rarely gets anywhere besides the canvas, but this will insure your carpet is protected. 
  • The acrylic paint is water based, but permanent. Heather will provide aprons for your guests, but please let your guests know before arrival.

About the Instructor 
Heather McDonough is a certified teacher, behavior coach and artist. She has a Masters in Elementary Education and has been teaching for over 10 years. She has been an artist longer for longer than that, and teaching painting classes for the past three years. 

Teaching paint parties are her two passions coming together to celebrate the joy of creativity. She enjoys inspiring and spreading love for painting. Heather's goal is to inspire an awakening of creative energy in everyone. Creativity is a way to connect with the child in all of us. Heather hopes to bring that out in her clients while enjoying connection and inspiring a path of to a creative life.
